    Superb

A warm and helpful welcome, parking was a little difficult but the staff sorted it out. Room was delightful and very comfortable, in an ideal position to visit Cheltenham. Complimentary drink at the bar was a nice touch and Breakfast was 1st class.

The room rate on the internet was advertised at £295 reduced to £99 for late booking. It was never worth £295 but well worth the money we paid.

Excellent accommodation which was within easy walking distance of the town centre for shops and restaurants. We received a room upgrade, spacious room decorated in keeping with period of house. Very welcoming. I would recommend this accommodation to others.

    Good

Very clean rooms and friendly staff, Breakfast was excellent.Good location for the main town, within walking distance.

Didnt feel we got value for money. We were in the new part of the hotel called the coachouse. It was very small, noisy ( we could hear people upstairs) and we could even hear our neighbours going to the loo! Not happy as I didnt feel safe opening the windows at night because we backed on to a side road, windows could be easily accessed, so very warm in the room at night. The website advertised a bar, however it closed at 10pm, couldnt even have a night cap and we had to purchase a bottle of wine from the manager who said we could pay in the morning when we settled the bill, outraged to find that it cost £17.50!

    Very good

Nice atmosphere, the new managers seem very nice.

Bathroom spoilt what could have been a very nice room. 6 feet by 6 feet including a shower cubicle. Our stay was value for money for the discounted price we paid. I would expect more for the full rate.

    Exceptional

The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room, which had been recently refurbished, was very clean and quiet, located across the courtyard from the main house. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a vairety of cooked and cold fayre.

Initially, on entering Cheltenham the hotel was slightly difficult to locate. Once found, it proved to be very close to the main shopping and eating areas.of the city.Easily within walking distance of amenities.

    Exceptional

Fabulous hosts, good location nice airy and spacious room. Hosts very attentive to the needs of the guests and had a sound knowledge of special dietary requirements. Breakfasts were of an exceptionally high quality ( wow, gluten free toast!) and the coffee served the best I have ever had in a hotel!

    Good

As I booked three rooms I need to say that room 8 and the Garden room were comfortable and pleasant. However, I was disappointed with room 3, descibed as a superior room. It had a superior bed but was very dull and depressing with a poor aspect- other rooms seemed more attractive and welcoming. I was disappointed for my daughter. It was not value for money. Staff were friendly and accommodating. In future I would like to look at rooms booked on the internet as I'm sure more attractive rooms were available as it wasn't fully booked. I'll check in future.

    Superb

Visited National Trust Houses and other parts of the Cotswolds. The Hotel was spotlessly clean and our hosts were really lovely people. The room was on the small side but the cleanliness of the room, and bathroom made up for it.
